More fun with buttons. I wanted to create the impression of a herbaceous border which looked like hand embroidery. I used cotton thread. I think the design needs another couple of layers.



Dennis, if you look carefully, you will see where I had to change to a lighter weight thread.

have you tried washing anything made with these buttons ....i have also got some off ebay and not sure if they will run....what do you think...x

I agree. I wouldn't wash anything with wooden buttons on it. I remove them and stitch them back on after washing!

I'll have to have a look at that site again and support the Chinese economy too. Can't understand how they can make and send the things for such a low price.
My daughter was here last weekend and decide she needed to "shop" in my "gift drawer". First thing she picked out was the little notebook with the button design. And ordered a few more.
