TOTORO My son and his friends love anime. They wanted me to make some of the small totoro stuffies. Since I don't digitize yet, but do have basic Embird, this was a project of design merging. It was quite a challenge, and I have learned a lot more about Embird.

The basic shape was an egg applique. The ears were a Christmas light applique.....and the list went on. In the end, he was delighted, but I went through many trial runs till I was satisfied.

Thank you, Sue. You are another of the great creative minds I've seen here. (We do have quite a number of them on this unique site!!)
I am learning a bit more with each new project. I think I'm liking the learning more than the doing.

They are quite adorable. You have a great process to learn by. I like to experiment and have thought about something similar.

Thank you.
Much of the pleasure I receive from ME comes with having an idea and figuring out how to make it happen. I have noticed that many of your projects come from ideas and things you just have to try. I always enjoy seeing your posts.

Thank you. I must admit, though, that my son is a college student and his friends that also like anime are also college students. You know the kind...computer graphic artists etc.
I'm just pleased that they take pleasure in simple things also.

Oh these are brilliant. I love Tortoro and it gives me great pleasure watching and other Miyazaki films too. I saw Howls moving castle yesterday with my grandson, he loves it. My husband said now where would one start making a castle like that. I look forwards to seeing what you come up with next

I have just finished reading Howl's Moving Castle. It was fun to read and helps me to stay connected with my children and grand children.
