extra special I think, very bright and lovely. don't you just jelly rolls?
Well there will be no missing you now at the next NEC meeting. Will you be changing your name to Josephine with the coat of many colores and singing " I can sing a rainbow " as you walk along the aisles.
Love the idea and such a creative use of a jelly roll.
Words fail me as I am into quilting now. It is just amazing. Did you get this in a pack with a pattern or did you just use a pattern you had?
Enjoy wearing it.
I had the Moda "Eat your Fruit and Veggies" jelly roll as a gift with the suggestion that I could make a jacket. I did a google image search for "Jelly Roll Jackets" for inspiration and spent a week or so making possible jackets in my head. This isn't like any of the ones I saw in my search! I used a simple paper jacket pattern for the armholes and sleeve heads.
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! I'll have one in a size 16 please! he he he! Great job Sue, it looks fantastic. I bet you will get lots of rave reviews when you wear it out. Love and blessings Chris
Wow, what a lot of work here, it turned out lovely and a truly unique piece.
A coat of many colours..an different use of materials would never have thought of this.. well done
Just had a closer look again and realise that you have had quite a challenge to sort all of this out to make sure there was enough fabric to make the jacket
It was - I was expecting 2 strips of each of the 20 fabrics, but when I unrolled it, there were 10 fabrics with only one strip each and 15 with 2. That made symmetry a bit of a challenge!
Oh this is wonderful....a very very long time ago I also made one of these and I loved it to death....I was very sad when I had to let it go, (It got to small for me) I wore it all the time but it never wore out. Enjoy your coat it will look beautiful on.
Hugs Joann
This turned out beautifully, you will have many nice compliments--and probably, some "Can you make me one just like it?"!!!
Wow, you made great use of your Jelly Roll!! You never fail to amaze me - honestly, you have such a talent!! Well done! Hugs, Laura*
My, what a wonderful use of jelly roll. I love the black contrast. Were the arms difficult to add to the bodice? Well done.
Tricky, I had to set them in properly! (If I make something with side seams, I put the sleeves in before I stitch up the sides!)
What a wonderful use of the jelly roll ! The colors are brilliant !
Nice job !
Hugs, Bonnie
