My Spider experience. After my girls day out with Sally, Pauline and Karen I was driving home almost half way and it had turned into night time. In front of me on the windscreen this spider walked now you know he must be on the inside as you can see his big body from back on. Well I slowed the car checked the rear for more traffic, none coming thank goodness, went into to panic mode. Put the car into park, reached for a biscuit box, which I had been munching on earlier, the biscuits not the box,.....and lashed out at Mr Spider. whack whack whack, onto to move him on, by this time I had the car door open ready to bail out if need be. Here I was screaming and trying to kill this spider, you guessed it fell onto my leg, boy I was glad it was a cold day and I wore long pants, I brushed him onto the floor and good bye Mr Spider you are gone with a couple of big stomps of my foot...bye now I am thinking I am still parked on the road, so very glad no cars came up behind me...good spider is dead now I can go home. I had to put him out of my mind or I would never have gotten home.

Next morning I get my GD's lunch ready and decided to give them some biscuits thinking to my self boy these are really broken up, then it hit me "well if you want to beat the living day lights out of the box on a spider what else would you expect."
Yes I am paranoid about spiders....
Here is a photo I took of my Cute friends at Sally's place last Saturday...Love and Hugs Kerry

Sally if truth B known he probably started out with me early that day and only surfaced that night....now I wonder if there is a spider detector you can buy?

There is that electronic fence for the house. I do not know if the have one that plugs into the car. I feel the same way, and recently had a similar experience on a small boat, luckily I was not immediately threatened.

What a funny story! I am also petrified of spiders. When I was a teenager (many many moons ago) I was vacuuming and one of those big wood spiders was in our livingroom. I vacuumed him up and then did not dare turn off the vacuum for fear he would crawl out. I left the vacuum running and put it out on the porch until my Dad got home to rescue me. LOL Hugs, Barba

What a grand story you tell, Kerry! I have certainly had a good laugh at your expense and of course the expense of the dearly departed spider. ;)

Good for you! Spiders in the car while you're driving are NOT good! One got in our car this weekend & the teenage grand daughter is smacking & yelling while the baby (22 mos) is watching the whole thing. We FINALLY get all loaded (with the spider somewhere between the seat & back) & for the next HOUR the baby talked about that spider! She talks very plain AND all the time! Love her. Glad you were so brave! AND a great picture!

the spiders sure are a worry in a car,,,especially when you are the only one in it.

You are a smart lady to pull off the road and park before waging war on the spider. I am so glad you won the war even if it cost you broken biscuits.

What a story. So glad to hear it did not put you off your journey to meet the others. Reminds me of a story of a journey and a biscuit box which I wont go into. Super picture of the three of you. Look forward to seeing a picture of the next meeting

it was on my way home, it could of been easy for me to think one spider maybe there could be another, but like I said, I went on as though it never happened or truly I would not have got home at all....

You poor darling. You were SO BRAVE to attack the thing with a bicky box. I once sat in my car and wouldn't let the kids out for over an hour waiting for hubby to get home cause I saw a huge one on the outside of the window. I wasn't opening the door with him out there. xx
