Here I am AGAIN----I am STILL having issues with my emb machine after having it "REPAIRED" by 2 different repairpersons---

Can someone PLEASE tell me if the Genie bobbin inserts that go in bobbin cases REALLY WORK??????
I have seen them for sale on Amazon and at Nancy's Notions---supposedly they make the bobbin run smoother and help prevent bird's nests and all the LOOPING I've had issues with on my Brother 5x7 emb machine--
I appreciate ANY ideas and experience and comments that any of you Cuties have had with this product and or with looping and loose fill stitches on the top of a design

Thanks and hugs

I think I know what you are talking about. I am very interested in that I just took in a machine for a similar problem. I did get a little plastic thing that holds the bobbin. I thought they were for use with paperless bobbins.

Hi Sue, just a hint, make sure you always put the bobbin in the right way. With the Brother there is a wrong way and a right way!! Ask me how I know? he he he!

I'm including a post here about a similar question. I hope you can sort it out soon. Love and blessings Chris, Newcastle, Australia.

Incidentally, that's a very clever name for a website......punchwithjudy......................"it was the crocodile what done it!"

I havent seen the inserts, but a machanic i know on sewing machines used to cut a circle out of paper same size as bobbin cut the hole in the middle, put oil on it and insertit inside the bobbin case, and I wonder if this did the same thing.

haven't heard about the inserts so can't help there. However I have a machine at the Repair shop and the technician told me that the Plastic bobbin case will need replacing about every 18 months to 2 years. Most modern machines have plastic bobbin cases these days to cut the cost.
