this question is for cuties who have a clothes peg bag. what do you use for a hanger. mine has been missing for a couple of months now. go figure who would take a peg bag. Mine had a nice red one that I got somewhere forever ago. It had straight arms & a lot more pegs but hey what can you do................buy more pegs I guess

when low & behold a lady from down the street came over with my peg bag! It would appear that she found it in her yard? She asked her neighbours & they said I was the crafty lady so perhaps it was mine? It looks pretty beat up but it is back YEH! it is missing the hanger so I have to replace it any thoughs

Ah!! The Phantom Peg Bag Snatcher!! Given that the hanger is missing, you need to be on the look-out for someone with very narrow shoulders but tall enough to reach your washing line. I don't think you need any further suggestions about replacement hanging devices but you could consider embroidering your address on it in case The Phantom strikes again.

I can just picture the phantom peg bag snatcher, Lurking in the shadows waiting until the coast is clear to strike. At least they didn't hold it for ransom. lol

Mine has a child sized coat hanger. I hook it over the line and move it along as I go.

I buy wooden hangers and DH cuts them to fit the bag.

Loralye, do you leave it outside? You make me feel ashamed of mine which I made years ago and should replace :) It is more like a shoulder bag, with a strap to sling over my shoulder. The pegs are always handy or the bag is when I'm unloading the line. A habit from years ago when a cockatoo we had used to get on the clothesline and pull apart all of the pegs! (Plastic ones were a bit harder for him to wreck). They weather a lot less being brought in and out as well.
By the way I have a bag like this for odd socks (until I find their friends!). It has a wooden hanger with a metal hook, one of those you can buy in a pack of 6 from the supermarket here.

I kept having the coat hook come out of the wooden hanger so have now replaced it with a skirt hanger. The one with clip either end. Works good and the hook can be changed around to hang wherever you want to hang it.Just clip it on the top outside of bag. Hope this helps, Lyn

A child's coat hanger may work better than an adult one.

surely a length of broomstick handle or dowel cut to size and a large cup hook screwed into the center of it will do the job

Can you put another clothes hanger inside bag ? I had to do this for mine when my dog decided that it made for great chewing -will need to make another one so thanks for the inspiration gggg- maybe the person who took your pegbag wanted to make one the same as it looks really great.

My sis made me one of denim with a Velcro closing end of the handle. Flip over the clothes line, Velcro shut. Push it down line ahead of you and pins are right there. Hope this helps.

Great idea, but it doesn't work on the Hills Hoist, I hang mine on the handle of the trolly. Cheers, Bev.

Me too Bev, but I have a metal peg basket that hangs on the washing basket trolley. Love Chris

P.S. I got Amy to buy 2 as she has so much washing and never had enough pegs. So I bought 3 or 4 packets of pegs and now she won't run out!! he he he!
