NOT SEWING How to get rid of wasps nests

the UK is having a heat wave and the wasps are building bigger nests so how do we get rid of them without spraying stuff all over the place.
here is what i do.
I buy a spray bottle of Ant stop and a jar of runny honey and i feed them
put some ant stop into a shallow dish or saucer and add some honey and mix it well you do not need too much honey but enough to make it sweet.
leave near the nest. this is best done at night when they are resting. just make sure your pets cannot get near it.
Leave it undisturbed and just top it up as it is taken. the nest will be destroyed as the wasps are killed and if they take food back for the queen she is poisoned as well so cannot lay more eggs.
Not an instant result but will take about a week but it works well as they do not need to travel far for the food .
hope this will help

A friend of mine swears that he has no problem getting rid of wasps by spraying them with a mixture of Dish washing detergent like "Dawn" and water. Now I researched this on the internet and there are quite a few people that say it works for them. One says the mixture to be a quart of water and 3 to 4 tablespoon of dish wash detergent. Hmmmm

That's an interesting solution and has to be cheaper than the cost of calling out an exterminator (not a Dalek). A few years back, we had a huge wasp nest in our loft...................nasty things, although I must say that their nests are quite remarkable.

My only caveat to Annie's suggestion is to try to set the dish/saucer so as not to attract honey bees, which are in decline in the UK.

Thanks Annie.
