Everyone seemed to like the picture posted of the Golf Tee idea. Here is another version of it. I made this several years ago and use it all the time. It's quick, easy to make and very useful. You need a golf tee. I cut mine off at the bottom so it wasn't pointed. Make or buy a flower (all you need it the petal part). Then make a yo-yo and stuff it. Hot glue the 3 parts together and you have a cute little pincushion that will sit on top of your spool of thread.. Enjoy, Susan

What a Good Idea sewing and Golf I do both so don't have to ask for a Tee off of my Darling John, He only uses wooden ones OLD SCHOOL he is, plastic meant for a Driver , I make a few for the girls at Golf most of them sew even abutten on ? Love Sherene X

BRILLIANT! They say "Necessity is the mother of invention" - this is just such a necessary item in any person's sewing room. I love this idea and will see if I can "borrow" some of MOTH'S tees.

You can find a cheap bag full at Wal-Mart. Sometimes you can even find colored ones.
