newipswich, so glad you got it figured out. It does take a while to get it going and who like to read the manual???? not me '-)
Hi, i felt it would be criminal of me not to give you the following advice. You should NEVER download designs from the internet directly onto a memory stick and then install those designs directly into your machine WITHOUT FIRST running a scan for viruses on them (M/stick). Your machine is as susceptible to viruses as your computer but imagine having to pack your machine off to have it's Brain replaced..... EXPENSIVE! hugs n roses, M
Thank you, Meganne! I went and did the scan right now. I'll be sure to make that part of my routine. Flower for you!
So glad you got your problem solved. I am really computer dumb, and have so many problems, and have to rely on my husbands help quite often. *2U
Thanks for writing. Usually it's a teenager that has to help me. lol! Once I get it clear in my brain, I'm off & running.
Flower for you!
My grateful thanks (& flowers) for writing back to me, pafhen & minnieb! I ended up going on the Janome site & asking the question there. Then hubby came home & we got it figured out. I did miss a step (which unfortunately was not in the manual). I needed to insert the USB into the machine, as it first of all creates the appropriate folder(s) into which I'll henceforth be able to download to. (Hurray!!)
I have to write the design from customizer to stick to get it to work I have MC11000 I have not been able to get copy to work
well I am not sure, are they showing up on your computer? and its just the usb stick that is not showing them. When you downloaded them did you make sure it had .jef if that is left off then nothing shows up.
On the comp., if I "mouse" over the file, it shows that it is a .jef file. Doesn't list is as, for example "elephant.jef".
then first I would rename the file to elephant.jef so it would show up as that file. Then I have to open up my software to see the actual pic of the file. Like I use ped basic to view them, for they will not show you the pic without the software. I hope this helps you out
nothing is showing up. Am I missing a step here?? Thanks for any help. :-)
newipswich, I found your other post and added your other link to this post so we can see what you are talking about. Try to keep it all under one post,
I'm sorry, I'm not very computer literate, as you can see. How do I keep both parts together?
its fine, when you post then click on that post and click on answer this question to finish your posting, but comments are fine like this
