this is a wonderful thing. i have been afraid that "womanly" needle arts are going to become extinct. but i see wonderful signs like this that sewing can stand the test of time. thankyou for showing it. lynne
You have created the best memory for him. He will forget the tennis lessons and other sports but, the time he spent learning how to sew a quilt with his grandmother will be with him forever. Nice going.
So beautiful! What a great idea to have him design it. My grandson, Gabriel, is also working to decorate his room into a Minecraft themed one. He has asked me to make him a quilt, but he lives too far away to help sew it. Again, kudos on your quilt, it turned out wonderful. I'm sure he'll appreciate it for years to come.
How creative!!! Love that he got involved, great teamwork!!!
Is the surprise birthday successful? Was he happy? My son say its name is creeper.
Yes the name is "creeper". My daughter and I put the quilt & pillow on his new bed and them called him up to his room. He was very surprised that it was finished. He loved it.
The two of you did an excellent job. His drawing came to life and to me it looks like I can see a face. The pillow is a nice unexpected touch for him to have.
Thank you. Yes that is a face you see. It's a game the kids play called Minecraft.
