Sue! Thank you! I couldn't wait so I used flannel. Yikes! Baby boy needs stuffing, tail and finishing. Baby girl didn't make it. It was during her second half that the needle went in my finger. When I jerked, the needle snapped and I had half the needle with 3 inches of pink thread dangling from my ripped finger. Next time...stretchy fabric for sure.

Thank you for all the compliments and best wishes and remedies and humor. Slow typing without my left index finger. Tired of taping it and it stays wet. Guess I will have to get a stitch or glue from the doctor tomorrow. When I talked with him Friday, he was headed to surgery and I am avoiding the ER. You are all kind and I thank you. Joan

OUCH!!!!!!

I'd blame Sue for not issuing a 'safety warning' with her instructions...lol. Perhaps you should treat yourself to a thimble or better still, buy a set of those chain-mail gloves they use in the butchery business.....haha.

Adorable! Sorry about your finger. I've had a needle through a nail and fortunately no fingers...yet.

Holy Moley! Knock wood--it has not happened to me yet & I've been using a machine since I was 8 yrs old (that was the year before Noah landed the Ark), and I am the world's champion klutz! Those cute elephants need to be finished up--too bad you're not next door or I'd do it for you. Take care the finger doesn't get infected--the soreness will be bad enough.

Your elephants are cute but your finger sounds a fright. Hope it's not too painful to embroider. Hugs, Susan
