Would appreciate some opinions: A set used to consist out of 6, I used to buy cups etc in sets of 6, nowadays we get them in sets or multiples of 4. If I am making a set of of mug rugs or coasters, how many would you suggest should make up the set?

I was just thinkng this same question. Lol! I like the 4 idea for gifts and 8 to sell. Am I being lazy?

I always do 8. Even when giving napkins, I do 8. You often have other people there besides your family.

Guess 8 will be best it is more than the 6 and would fit in with the 4 scenario too.

I am convinced. Would have liked to only make 6 as I am using double solvy etc. But in the end the end result is more important.

This is a good question and one that I have thought of also. If it is a small family I usually make 6 and if there are children, 2 or more - then I make 8.

Thanks , Hmm perhaps I should go for 8 - if I make 8 it will then cover both scenarios.
