Princess Sophia Purse

It's the Princess Ballerina Purse from Oma's Place, one of the 10 projects on the Gifts for Children CD. I changed Ballerina to Sophia.

Just when I thought I finished, I found that the strap was trapped in between the bag front and bag back, and you can imagine how frustrated I was. I ripped some stitches to pull the strap out and the strap was damaged. (the third picture).

So I had stitched the bag back together and made two patches in the 4*4 hoop (based on Omas Girly Applique Spring Patches). Using the one with the rose as the zipper pull (the narrow ribbon buried between fabrics while embroidering) and the other one with bird as a cover up for the broken strap.

This is the first ITH purse with a flap I've made. It is just so small! I can hardly put my hand in it. I guess it's better for a 5-year-old.

Thank you! The horizontal purses are not so bad because the zipper opening is bigger.

Hugs,

Lucia
