What a beauty. That is a tremendous amount of gorgeous embroidery work. Your fabric choices go so well with the embroidery designs. You need to enter this into a quilt show or at least show it off at your local quilt guild or county fair.
Wow it is so beautiful, I am still in awe of the beautiful dresses you designed :) Diana
lovely.. still on my wish/to to list. Don't know how I such start something like this..
Beautiful, beautiful! Love the colours. designs, everything!
You have done a great job.
Hugs, Lidia
Splendid! I love the autumn colours, what a lot of work went into this quilt.
Absolutely beautiful! I am sure your folks were thrilled with the quilt. You can see that an awful lot of work went into making it!
It is beautiful! How much was hand stitched?
Well, none is hand stitched...the quilt was constructed with blank blocks then all the quilting and embroidery was done once the quilt was put together...I am still not "sold" on the quilt as you go methods...so I make the traditional quilt top and then do the quilting and embroidery...
What a beautiful quilt. I love the autumn colours. Hugs Jerri
Great work I would love to have it.
...sometimes I wish I had it back..so hard to give quilts away..but not sure why...
The quilt is beautiful. Such a lot of work. Any idea where the designs came from. They are lovely. Lynx
The acorn border is from Embroidery Library, some of the autumn blocks are from the autumn leaves collection from here on Cute...the fill in blocks are from many...the blanket stitch frame in the blocks is mine and the smaller acorns that frame the focus blocks are mine...
This is a super quilt my friend, well done. Hugs Loralye
Well done "dragon" - now don't go getting stuck on looking through the photos, like I do. I start to look for something and then find pictures and an hour's gone by! It's fun though, love Chris
Thanks, Chris...and yes...I did get caught up in the oldies but goodies...memories!
