Good for you to let them know the truth. Most people will not tell a business about bad food or service to give them a chance to fix what is wrong.
Yep, once I guess. It was fried chicken which I bought in a big supermarket. At home, when I opened the bag, it smelled soooo bad. I returned it to the store. They accepted it and I got my money back, but no real excuse was given.
I think you were right to take it back,You paid good money for a product that wasn't fit too eat and with the shrimp being off it could of even made you ill. The restaurant needs to know the quality of food they are serving and make some changes if they want to stay in business.

I have NOT RETURNED me/myself to an embroidery/quilting/sew-emb machine sales store that is closing---to "retire"--I feel it is because of TOTAL LACK OF customer service--and general rudeness!!!!!! And now to your topic: With big box stores, I learned from my DiL, buy what you see-if you think you might "NEED" it----it is easier to buy it, find out you don't need/want it, and return it (make sure to save the receipt), than NOT buy it, get home, decide you want/need it, go back to store and find it GONE/SOLD OUT!! Fast food---one time they forgot the iced tea, one time they forgot the honey for biscuits, one time they forgot the EATING UTENSILS--one time they forgot the cups for the iced tea----small town we visit 1-2 times a year--one of the few carry out places---10 miles from our campsite---food is good but FRUSTRATING when we get "home" and something is missing-even after we 'CHECK" it before leaving--always have spares in vehice JUST IN CASE!!!!
