I just download to Dropbox in my ipad and forget it. When I get to my PC (which has Dropbox also) the iPad has already sync'd and the designs are already in the Dropbox folder...I then move them to my Docs. You can create a folder in Dropbox to save copies of your designs (you get 2 GB free and can buy more)..and if your computer crashes you can access your acct "out there in cyberspace" to retrieve them.

There is also a service called BOX that is like Dropbox that is offering extra storage when app is loaded to an iOS device. See app.box.com

They are offering 50GB for free (lifetime) for iOS users. I just got this last week (this deal was documented in a CNET article).

Download "Dropbox" to the Ipad and your computer. Download Izip and Stitchbuddy to the Ipad. When you want to download an embroidery file on the Ipad - save file in Dropbox (which in the clouds), You can unzip the file with Izip while still in Dropbox and view it in Stitchbuddy. When at your computer open Dropbox and move your file to wherever you store them. All programs are free just Goggle the name and work beautifully.

You can, but you will have to use a program like Dropbox or the Cloud to do it.
