I do usually stitch my corners down as kids tend to pick and even a little thread can lead to a big hole - when I can I use a cute stitch pattern, but when they are narrow, I just do a regular stitch.
I never sew mine down. justonlyme had a neat idea about the tiny designs in the corner!
Just a thought; having the corner conundrum might be a great place to add a tiny design or decorative stitching.
I say if you MUST sew it down,,,do it by hand so the stitches can be hidden in the fold....I do not sew the fold down.....commercially bought ones aren't
It can be done either way. If you think the child might poke their finger in the corner or if it is going to get a lot of washings, you might want to stitch it down. hugs, Susan
I think it would look fine either way, however as has been said it is a possible trap for little fingers and dust.
