My tip: Organza is a light but strong material and I love using it for my gift bags but it will slip in the hoop. So I have lightweight cotton material pinned on the sides of my top hoop and a piece of material that I place on top of the organza on the bottom hoop. This holds the organza in place pretty well and the organza holds the stitch out very nicely!

In the bottom picture is a gift bag bottom pinned on top of the top gift bag for a final stitch together. My machine goes over the pins with no problem.

I have to do that when I use my large hoop. For all organza and satin I use the liquid goo method and I do not stress at all anymore!

The shelf liner (non slip type) works this way too; thanks for sharing.

I'm going to try this, but I don't want it on the top of the hoop because when you screw the hoop on it automatically tightens on the top first. Thanks
