looks just great. If I had to make one observation, it would be that next time - make your wadding and backing fabric 4" or so bigger than your quilt top. Then you will be able to add a larger border, or maybe a sashing and a border, before you put on the final binding.
Wow , well done you, it looks fantastic, and I think pick a solid colour from the quilt for the edge.
Hugs pam.
You can be very proud of yourself a GREAT Quilt! you have been given lots of great advice below, I agree with Aussiequilter. but which ever you choose it wiil look great..
excellent i would choose one of the colors like the black and white .
You should be very proud of yourself hugs Carolyn
I love it. Reminds me of both Africa and Pennslyvania Dutch because of the bright colors. I personally would move away from the modern and border with a black based small flower, but that is sooo contrary to what you've achieved!
Good Job...first one is always very special...I would agree with cj2sew...pick on of the solid colors, make a 2 or 2-1/2 inch border and then finish with a 4 or 4-1/2 inch border...then bind it with another one of the colors...good job!
Love your fabric choice. I would choose my favorite color and make a 2 1/2 in border then take black and make a 4 1/2 in. border. Or what ever colors you like. You really did a great job.
I agree with Aussiequilter, & you should be quite proud you did a terrific job! Hugs Loralye
What I do. I put a piece of fabric along the side. Try different and see what you like. Perhaps you colud chose a light grey or two borders the other one with dots in black and white
great work ,,,,I would put a small bright border maybe the same width as one of the bars in your blocks and them a black in the same size as one block for eg , 1,1/2" cut and 4,1/2" cut
