Rebooting........why would a particular design (or 3 out of 4 to be precise) make the machine turn off and right back on again? Already contacted the digitizer and she has tried to help. Thanks for giving me the answer. I'll pass it on to her and be so glad to be able to stitch out the designs

Thank you for replying and sharing what happened to you! More info for those helping me: It's only this digitizer's designs that shut off the machine. The design that doesn't cause the problem is one she uploaded a couple of days ago. I have used 3 USB sticks, with and without other designs. I have a Brother Duetta 4500d whose largest stitching area is 7x12. 2 of the designs were free from her newsletter/website and one I bought from her Etsy shop. She has sent me the designs in emails as they were and after she converted them and after she downsized one.(None are too big for me, anyway.) They all work in Wilcom TrueSizer. It's a mystery! I wonder if I knew how to open the written programming, I could search for a difference. I'm just not that techy! :)

There must be a problem within that one file. Have you tried getting it in a different format and using Wilcom to change the one into your format? I have had random designs cause weird issues before. If I use a different format and change it -- it works fine. Good luck!

I only tried .art to .pes.......I will go try! Thank you. Will let you know.

Yea! I decided to try every format and convert until one of them worked for each design. Each design worked in one or two conversions but not the same and not equally! I already knew that ART didn't work. JEF didn't work converting one design. I didn't keep a list but it was variable! Thank you for helping and I will let the digitizer know that you did and how great Cuties are...maybe she is here and we don't know it. Smiles and relief and pleasure! yippee...

Hi I have a 4500D as well and have had what I think are version problems. I found that xxx gave me the best results when converting to pes ver.4 userdefined hoop (180 x300)

Thank you for your info. I will remember to try xxx. Interestingly, one of the version worked on one design and on another it closed and saved without asking for the hoop size. There is so much to find out!

I had a problem with my machine rebooting itself in the middle of a design...it happened three times over the course of a week...all different designs...turned out it was a computer board that needed to be replaced...

How are you transferring the design from your computer to the machine? I am not sure about the answer, but this information may help find a solution.
