Sorry baby girl I do not have that don't know what to do about that.
hugs and flowers to you Lenamae
I have the same problem...after 2 years of pain decided to have a operation where the shoulder joint was "cleaned". Since day 1 the pain was gone except for the small wound which healed pretty soon . 2yrs on and I am still ok.
Karen, I do not suffer with this so don't know what pain you are going through. We all seem to have something wrong with us. Hope all goes well with your Therapy on Monday. I suppose you are right handed which would make it worse.
So sorry to read this. Will be praying for right doctor and therapist and combination of meds, etc. for excellent recovery. Meanwhile be gentle with yourself!
Karen, I have had a complete REVERSE shoulder replacement. don't know where you live, so don't know if those are done in your area. Tore the rotator, had it fixed, tore again...nothing left to "fix." Thus I now have the socket on the arm bone & the ball where the socket should be. Yes, what you have is very painful. I'd be glad to "talk" with you via PM...doubt all the cuties want to read about all my joint replacements! Hope you get some relief without surgery!!
Will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, I haven't had any experience with shoulder pain to advise you. Please take care, do what the dr tells you and keep your therapy up.
Oh! dear Karen, I have just read all the posts and there are some very good answers there. I think you will have to find what suits your body as we are all different. I know you should ensure that the muscles are warm before trying to do things and I'll certainly keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you start your PT. Love and blessings Chris
My sister had same problems, very painful, will pray for you. God heals, hugs and blessings
When I am in enough pain I will do something about it. The list is throughout this post; temp change (ice, heat), stretching and exercise, take a pill, call the doc! I can't do the over the counter remedies. I have tried many things from the health food store and that can get quite expensive trying things. Yoga, Tai Chi, acupuncture(best for me), biofeedback (don't waste your money) ... Bottom line is: Do what ever you can do to keep moving and groovin and take your vitamins!
Oh dear Karen getting old is not so nice .I will pray for you hugs
I thought I had damage to my left rotator cuff a few years back, which turned out to be a frozen shoulder, instead. Even with that, the discomfort and pain was awful. I was given a steroid shot to the shoulder joint, and told to exercise the arm quite often to get the arm moving again. I could not get my arm over my head nor behind my back, so it was quite frustrating. My husband made me a pulley with rope that went over the high part of my wooden outdoor swingset. One end of the rope I held with my bad arm; the other end with my good arm, using the good arm to pull the bad one as high as I could, repeatedly, during several sessions each day. Along with the exercise, and shower water to the joint, as warm as I could tolerate, while pushing the arm upraised against the shower wall, got the arm usable and almost back to norm in about six weeks. The steroid shot, exercises, and tepid shower water helped tremendously! An occasional heating pad wrapped around the damaged shoulder, while watching tv , eased the pain, too.
Hope yours gets much better soon!
Hugs, Angel
Look into K-Laser treatments. Also, acupuncture could help with the weakness. My Chiropractor does both treatments (and many more) for me and it really does help actually heal the injuries.
I will be praying for you.
I am sorry to hear this.I hope the physio will do wonders for you. Jrob is right, make sure you relax your muscles as much as possible before seeing your physiotherapist!
I am stilling seeing mine once a week after my tendinitis and torn and sewn together Achilles tendon and that man may have golden hands but he knows exactly how to get to the most painful spots. Fortunately I am lying face down when he is at it, so he can't see the tears that roll down my cheeks. No pain no gain, I suppose, and it does feel better the next day. :)
I had my Achilles tendon reattached 7 years ago - it took nearly 4 years for it to heal properly. I still get the odd twinge, but massage it with Bio-oil or body lotion. I didn't know you had yours done Martine. Bloody painful operation wasn't it? Love Chris
Karen, I don't have that but I have had physical therapy on my spine and the best advice I can give you is be sure you take pain meds 30 minutes before the therapy and go in with that part of your body as warm as you can get it. You muscles clinch around injuries and when you try to move a clinched muscle it causes pain and will fight you. When it is warm, it will release more easily. I also employed my relaxation techniques and breathing exercises. I will be praying for you.
I pray for you every day my sis... If you need me I am here!! Love ya !
Dear Karen - I am so terribly sorry to hear this. I hope they have given you something for the pain. I am sure the therapy will help - I hope so. Hugs Sarah.
