I wrote her a note and told her thank you for taking down our pictures. I also told her a friend of mine would be buying one of her CDs and we would be checking it out for illegal designs. HE HE HE HE HE......
When you look at some of her other sets, I think there are some from Cute sites. Aren't those snowmen from Ms Veronika's sites? We'll get her shut down, but I'm sure she'll sprout up again... somewhere.
This is so SAD that people result to stealing/prostituting someone's designs. They may get by for a while but they won't get away. One thing I dislike is the spirit of a THIEF...they are FILTHY!!! Hightechgrammy/other victims I pray that you recover ALL that the enemy may have tried to steal. In JESUS NAME, AMEN!!! *2U
There was more than 1 listing for this item and they are still there, some are about to end any minute tho. They still show the image of the free dog design from embroiderydesigns.com in the listing...the one that says "I paw print my dog" in a heart.
So I had to laugh a bit...she has two of the same design listed as different -- one is a female dog the other male with no difference...I do hope Brother gets involved and takes her to court....
I noticed some were marked male. I thought I was "missing something" but I didn't see anything there to make it male either.
Wow I bet she has been doing this for awhile. She has the viewer to go with it. This is her own account, and she has made a lot of transactions. Thanks for letting us know.
If you read her feedback from customers they complain that the cd's were homemade and designs of bad quality or not the same designs as in the pictures. She's probably making copies of copies of cd's, over and over, losing quality not even keeping track of which designs should be together.
I also noticed she states several times that pictures are "for reference only" I wonder if any of the listed designs are on the CD. I would imagine many of the designs are done with auto-digitizers.
She said my design wasn't in the set, she just used the picture from google images....
The item has been removed and is no longer available.
I have reported some one on Ebay before for selling cds of some copy right stuff, and they did take it off and the person just set up a new account and hey presto there it was again. you can keep tabs on it by pressing, "find similar" .
I wish you luck it is a very bad thing.
Hugs Pam.
This is bad news. People put so much work in all their designs. I' m curious the result of this, wonder what ebay will do and if you will get a sort if refund of it.
I see the image of your design has been removed from the listing....has she made some effort to explain herself?
You can call eBay 1 (866) 540-3229 and report the item that has your own design being sold. They will make note of that. But, they don't get back to you to let you know what goes on.
Buy a CD and give a bad "remark" they cannot sell on eBay if they get low marks -- plus then you have the proof that you can take to a an attorney. I would also get Brother involved. They have the money to shut the seller down.
On a brighter note -- they must have liked your design as they felt it worth stealing to get it and sell it. Small compensation -- I know.
It was one of the very first designs I ever did - LOL, not that hard and who knows how good..... flattery - LOL
I sent the seller this message:
"You are selling my embroidery design. This is illegal. I am the person who digitized this design and I can prove it. I have my original work, in the stages it took to create it. I posted it on Cute embroidery with all the copyright stipulations on October 8, 2010. The way I see it, you owe me $30 for every copy of this design you have sold. I have also listed some other dog and cat designs on Cute. Have you stolen them also to sell? There is a Calico cat, a Holly Cat, a World's Best Dog, and a Panic Button Cat. Are they on your CD of Dog and Cat Machine Embroidery Designs? If so, you owe me $30 for each of those that have sold. I am reporting you to eBay for copyright violations. I am also advising other embroidery designers to watch for their designs on your CDs on every auction site. You, are in big trouble. Please let me know how many of my designs you have sold, illegally, so I know how much to send on the invoice."
That should at least scare her for a few minutes...
This is so disappointing. I still say go after these people and make life as difficult as you can for them.
Look at this page to see what you have to do to report copyright abuse to eBay!
Maybe I should just send her a bill for $30 for every CD she has sold - LOL.
These people need to be reported IMMEDIATELY!!! Everyone of us should be on alert at all times for illegal designs. They are making a profit steeling from other's hard work. If enough of them are caught--and appropriately fined--maybe the internet would be a little bit safer for the unsuspecting. I reported an Etsy shop to the officials owning the license to what I suspected to be illegals designs. The officials apparently took action as that vendor was shut down soon thereafter. I will continue to report those that I can prove to be illegal and hope that others will join me.
I reported a group giving away other's designs for free. Even alerted about 6 people who's work I could identify so they could report too. The group closed down but reopened with a new name and blocked from nonmembers. One designer told me you can't stop them, they'll just find another way/place to do their dirty work.
It's a little bit like this shop at Shoply which sells all kind of licensed and foreign designs - even freebies from Needlework!
Hope Ebay will remove it soon...
I just check that link - you are right - nothing but illegal stolen designs!
I have linked the online customer support for you to report the theft of you property.
I'd say almost all of what she sells is illegal designs, that she has collected and put together on a Cd. Do report her.
I also found Katulle's American flag. She's also selling Brother designs that are free from the Brother site. I'm sure Brother would be interested in her also.
Bad news indeed. I can't see how to report it as illegal though.
