Well since we still have not heard anything regarding my husbands tests I decided to do some fsl angels....The first one turned out great. It was a pocket angel from Linda G. Since then every one has had trouble with thread shredding and breakage. I used a new 70 needle , fresh bobbin, and slowed the speed of my machine. Please help!

At least my husband has had a full 2 days without fevers! Yay! We are both on a new diet...it is called the worry diet, you don't eat and you don't sleep, and yes you lose weight!!
Thanks and many hugs, Nadyne

Hoping all went well with your appointment. Needles seem to shred thread for me a lot - so putting in a new needle is the first thing I do when this happens - 99% of the time it is the issue (then I go to rethread, clean the bobbin case, check for nicks - all the things other cuties have shared).

Don't think the Worry Diet will be a best seller. Hope life is better soon.
As for the angels. I have stitched 50 (for Christmas Cards) of Linda G.'s angels with nary a hitch. The possible solutions have already been covered.

Are you using embroidery needles? The eye is a bit larger, letting the thread pass through with less friction. FSL makes for the thread passing through the same spot several times.

Yes I used an embroidery Schmetz 70/11.

Check your bobbin race for a nick. Check your thread tension -- make sure the thread path is free from bits of thread.
Good luck and prayers for you and yours!

I did that and lowered the tension too...:-(
Thanks! Perhaps I will try another new needle...
