Hey there all of you creative people; I need suggestions!

I need to make a thank you gift for one of the ladies at the bank. She was so helpful with all financial aspects of closing my mother in law's estate, and did not charge me a dime for it. She paid all of the bills, kept track of the estate finances and reported to the attorney, and even divided the estate at the end, which was today. I need to thank her somehow. I do not know her outside of our professional contacts. I have no idea what she likes or does not like. I don't know if she is married or has children. She is relatively young though. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I worked in banking for 30 years. That's what we do. At least that's what the good ones do (not saying I'm a good one I just liked my job). A mug rug would definitely be a nice gift with a pretty mug to go with it. I would also suggest that you write a letter to her manager telling your feelings of the help she gave you. Too often people are quick to complain but never say anything of the good that is done. That letter will go in her personnel file and will help with advancement in the future.

I could not agree with you more about the complaints vs. compliments. Thank you for the suggestion. I'm really liking the mug rug idea. I could look around for a mug and then find a design to go with it. Thank you.

Working at the bank, she may not always be able to go out for lunch, so you could make her an insulated Lunch tote. Or, how about one of the popular mug rugs, with her initials on it or a zippered pouch that she could toss in her purse and use for many different things.

Does she wear glasses? How about an eyeglass case and a tissue case with matching zipped cosmetic bag to make a little set.

Cant' wait to see what you create, and whatever you decide, I'm sure she will be tickled pink for your thoughtfulness.

that was very kind of her !
maybe 4 handkerchiefs with lace edging and
her first name or initial embroidered in the corner and
you can make 4 pillow boxes one for each and
put them in a drawstring bag with her initials
so it will be like 5 usable small gifts and very presentable.
here is a link to the pillow box tutorial

there are many out there,
I got this idea from a lady at Martha pullen forum

Maybe a tote bag with a design of pretty flowers on it? It would be something that would be of use whether or not she is married or single.
Hugs, Mary

This is an idea that might be good. We can no longer get grocery bags at the store without having to pay extra. Thank you!
