A big thank you to baydreamer for her instructions & inspiration. Although I could have made this one shorter I am happy with the way it turned out & now the next one will be easier to make. A Thanksgiving towel for my daughter. Ok this was too long so I shortened it & I am showing how the handle is added & I added Velcro & a fancy button. forgive my photo just when I think I know what I am doing with this new one I don't

How pretty. Is the towel itself in the topper as it looks? Where did you find the directions, thislooks interesting to do.

I just made it, took a piece of paper over to the stove wrapped it over the handle to get the length 8 1/2 inch worked for me.,then cut it to a width -3 3/4 inch plus seam allowance, curved the edge. Once I had what I liked, then cut it out on a piece of plastic, on there I marked where I wanted the Velcro to go (underside make sure you sew on the Velcro before you sew it to the front), the center line and center mark for the design. Now I have a hard pattern with all the marking and easy to see through. I just embroidery the design then lay the template over , make sure everything lines up, mark and cut. Hope that helps.
