Sounds like a workers' compensation case. Document everything and find a good applicant's attorney in your area.
Dear ... Dear Deanna...you will be in my prayers every night.
Hugs and more hugs
I'm so sorry all this is happening to stress you out. So, reading everyone else, you need prayers, a doctor, a lawyer and hugs. I'd vote for all that. If you go back to work, carry a little flip notepad and a golf pencil in your breast pocket and stop and jot a little note every now and then. Makes 'em nervous!
Oh! sweetie, I hope the best for you. Do go to your Dr's as they will help document your treatment. Please keep up advised as we do care. KAY
I'm so sorry this is happening to you. Keep a paper trail and consult a lawyer. Consultations are often free.
Deanna my dear you are always in my prayers and will continue to be . My prayers for you are always that you are in God's will and for him to give you the grace you need to meet the trials that come your way ea.day. I truly hope things work out well for you and I am so sorry to hear of your work problems. I know how trying this can be. Don't be intimidated by them and stand up for your rights Much love, Lillian
Along with prayers you need to get a lawyer. Hugs to you.
Deanna, my prayer list will now include you. I do understand about bosses and supervisors. You did nothing wrong.
I hope your hand will get and feel better with rest.
Hugs and prayers, Bonnie
Not sure if you are in USA or not, but there are laws to protect you...they cannot fire you while on workers comp...if you told a supervisor and nothing was done, and the next one was aware of that, they have opened the company and themselves up to a law suit! Once they have been made aware, they are obligated to act on it (or at least investigate it) whether it is injury or sexual misconduct, etc. So keep a record of who and when and what you discussed, what the outcome was, even if it didn't amount to anything. Might be the last thing you are thinking of, but if you keep a record and never use it, it is ok...but if you don't keep a record and need it , it would be a big deal!. Also, if you signed a contract for non-compete, I would understand, but never heard on holding your feet to the fire over looking for a different job unless they GUARANTEED your continued employment for those 2 years. Look into a lawyer if you would feel better about it. Don't jeopardize your health!
as far as the contract went...it was put into place because l of the machine operators were quiting right and left...I am in the USA..I do have it written down, plus I showed my co-workers so that there was proof I was injured...a lot of co-workers got o see my hands and what was said to me...
I agree with pennifold...hope you have this documented...your supervisor should be written up for negligence...I pray that all will work out for you...keep us posted and take care...
I personally think that they know they were in the wrong and that's why they took me out of there to go on workers comp...
I think you should see a workman's comp. attorney...soon! There are laws in the USA to protect workers from these situations...you can probably get a consult from one for free...don't wait too long...
Dear Deanna, I'm so sorry this is happening to you. You certainly have my thoughts and prayers. Love and hugs, Yoriko
Dear Deanna, you have my prayers and God would not let you suffer so chin up and do not let this get you down, start doing some sewing and things you never get time for. Thinking of you and pray for you. Hugs.
Dear Deanna, I can't believe this. I hope you have it all documented. Your supervisors sound really useless. Whenever someone has an injury work related, well here in Australia, you have it documented and would be put on 'light' duties. I do hope you can sort this all out and that your job will not be terminated. I too have had Carpal tunnel surgery on both hands, but cannot do the things like I used to, so I can empathise with you. May God bless you and your hands so that all will be well. Love Chris
Oh Deanna, I am praying that all works out well for you. I do hope your hands heal quickly without any serious damage to them.. I do hope you can get back to work soon. I know it is very difficult for you right now. Hugs, Mary
my hands look awful...I know I probably wont be able to last much longer there anway..I guess its the scary feeling inside...change is hard and uncertainty is worse.
I'm sending all my prayers and good wishes to you. I'm not sure if I understand it all correctly. But you should also take care of yourself and your health (hands), is it possible to ask for an other type of job ? If you are on "pay time off", does that mean you still get salary or not ? I hope so. Wishing you all the best. Hug Linda
yes I do get paid leave....I got of the phne with my case worker and she told me I will be making @#@@#@# amount wich comes to morethan if I was working...THANK THE LORD for HIS Blessing
Oh, Deanna, you have my prayers. I know how much you need that job as many of us can't make it on a one wage earner income anymore. I'm praying that your sweet hands return to normal and that there isn't anymore damage after you have a chance to rest them. Try not to worry too much, God's got this.
I hope everything works out for you. I will keepyou in my prayers. Isn't it ashame what they can do? You are a good worker and do whatyou are suppose to and still theycome after you. Good luck. Arlene
Well, you can't look for another job. So take the time off with pay & if they let you go, then hopefully they will honor the contract saying YOU can't look for a job so they pay you til you can! (But not much hope there.) Are you a member of a union? Will be praying for you & the situation.
no...its a scary thing...no not a union...thing is the companys closing in the next 2 years anyway, so I guess I get it one way or the other...
I would be putting feelers out for another job unless you can't be laid of while on sick leave, but then they have called it paid time off. will pray & cross my fingers for you. Best of Luck
THANK YOU...we signed a contract we wouldn't look for work outside the company for 2 years in order to get a substantial incentitive.
Does that mean that they can lay you off after a few months & you still have too wait for the 2 yrs to be up? If so I hope that they pay you full wages for that time.
