Again, putting this comment as a new thread so you might see it:
Not sure about your machine, but some of the parts like the computer boards in lots of brands of embroidery and sewing machines are under warranty for five years...you might want to recheck your warranty to see if perhaps that is the case for your machine as well. It might be worth a phone call to the manufacturer's customer service tech support to ask about it...they may be able to help you trouble shoot the problem, or if it is a "common" problem with your model, they may be able to help you get it fixed...just a thought...
I was wondering about that.......
I am taking it to another repair person in another week or two---will ask him that question---will not take it back to the former 2 persons----if too expensive will get an inexpensive (inexpensive--right!!!!!) 5x7 Brother---God bless you:)
I put this comment below, but wanted to bring this ttt so you might see...I think it is time your machine went back to the factory...and at the dealer's expense. It sounds like it needs to be looked at and serviced by the professionals who made it...send samples of the sew outs with the settings you used to sew them out. Leave the thread and bobbin that you used in with the machine if possible. Write a note to explain what you have been doing and put all of this in with the machine itself. Even write on the designs you are sending them and point out what you want them to look at...you would be surprised at what they might think is okay...I have had to do this three times with the same machine...finally the factory sent a new machine...good luck and keep us posted...
Thanks----
Even if the machine is 4 years old and didn't start messing up until it was 4 years old and long out of warranty????
Thank you so much for your insight which opens my eyes and mind even further about my situation and makes me realize it may not all be IN MY HEAD!!!!!!!!!
God bless you!!

Wow, if you have a new bobbin case...are you sure the tech gave you the right one for your machine? I had a problem like that...bobbin case "fit" the machine, but it turned out to be one for another model...tech just messed up...did you test the machine at the shop before you brought it home...never leave before you have actually run a couple of designs...sorry...hope you find the problem...also make sure your thread gets threaded properly through the upper thread uptake lever...sometimes you can miss and the top thread isn't threaded properly...
Literally NO ROOM IN THE SHOP to try it out----brought it home and it got WORSE-----spent several weeks on and off trying stuff AGAIN!!!!---continued to get worse----took it back for the ASSISTANT to sit down and watch---FINALLY cleared a space----she messed with screw driver on bobbin case with tension----thread holder---cast iron stand up off machine type----tried built in designs---she cranked tension from built in tension of 4 to 7----still loops on bottom--I call it bearding---and loops on top---You will just have to put the tension to 7----"SMALL DESIGNS will just loop like that"--they never did before---So I was told I would just have to "live with it"----came home--not happy----tried again for 2-3 weeks--got worse---now it is birds nesting----and FINAL STRAW--I tried NEW BOBBIN CASE----new needle---rethread---ALL OF IT----built in design---stitch 5-6 stitches---embedded needle---turn off and on--push button to lift needle----choose another built in design---stitch 5-6 stitches---another embedded needle---I get mad--Call repair man and lady the next day----I am told that when it left the shop it was working---"I know him and it is right when it leaves my shop"---sorry but it wasn't working when I got home and tried it--took it back---it got worse there and when I got home---and now it's worse than before-----And I am supposed to know that he does good work---REALLY????---SO I'm headed down the road 2 hours in a week or 2 when I can walk again and try another person---have 1 more option if that doesn't work---after that=====sledge hammer!!!
Thank you for listening to my rantings and ravings and allowing me to vent---God bless you!!!
I think your dealer needs to send it back to the factory and have it gone over by them...at their expense!
Just a couple of things that come to mind - Is the needle all he way up in the shaft? Are you using the recommended needle for this machine? Not all needles are the same length - perhaps these are too long for this machine...
Sometimes you just get a lemon.
Didn't start until I left it alone for 5 minutes, came back, needle was jammed down in bobbin, I pried it out, have since taken it to 2 DIFFERENT "repairpersons", and it just has gotten worse!!!!! I NEVER leave a machine stitching while I am out of the room.
Thanks and God bless you!!
Can only think to ask if the needle properly inserted and the needle holder in proper working order? Next time when you take the machine in for repairs, take your "failures" with you. Set up the machine with the service man and stitch the design that is giving you problems. This way, the service person personally will see the problem.
