Thank you for sharing this clever way , never to old to learn a new short cut thank you makes life easy ?
Amazing! something so simple but ever sew clever. Thanks for sharing this tip - it will save lots of burnt fingers (lol, not to mention the cursing)
I'm sorry I don't understand what you are doing. Could you please explain more detail? I always cheat and by premade. Thank You!!
oh dear i cut the fabric 2.5 inches sew it together for my binding, and you press it but you burn your fingers if you don't use a needle to hold your fabric .Just grab one end and pull it through the needle as in my picture!!
If you join the pieces together you will have a seam, but make sure you lay one piece of fabric over the other on a 90 degree angle, so that when opened out it will have seams about an inch apart. Love Chris (P.S. that way there is no bulk with the seam)
This is a great easy way to do bias binding. I was telling Meg about it on Friday. I used to do this before I got my bias binding machine and you are right it is much quicker than getting the machine set up etc. I always make sure I cut my fabric on the bias though, otherwise it doesn't ease around corners etc. Thanks for showing it Carolyn, there would be a lot of new Cuties who don't know this method. Love Chris
do you have a cutter for the fabric or just use scissors?
OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH! what a great way to do this. i always get my fingers burned an tad. and everybody wants to buy some kind of tool to do this. BUT,this is for me! thanks so very much for showing. sincerely, lynne
Who needs all those gadgets taking up space when a needle works perfectly.
Doesn't this work great? Shows you that we don't need to change things just because they have been around a long time.

Love it and works well. I thought one of those tools you buy would be faster. Not really. Love the Noel binding you have here.... so will be looking forward to seeing your Christmas project.
I have a tool that folds the fabric so you can press but this is a great alternative. Smart lady to think of it.
