A great gift! I agree with the others on the label.

I agree that on a label it would be perfect. To do a quick quilting perhaps a grid would be a good idea..........an X or a T in the middle & then smaller ones to each side. This way it would still be sandwiched & then you could do a quick machine binding.Hugs & **Loralye
You have made a darling quilt! I love the saying. It would be very cute but do not stress yourself out. A label is a great idea.
Instead of adding a lable just embroider on the back before you quilt it. That way the lable can not be taken off and it will show off your embroidery work too. Lovely quilt.
Lovely quilt! I'd embroider the saying on a label, easier and faster than embroidering the frame.
Whatever you decide it is a wonderful gift!
Beautiful work. You made it look extra special. I agree with lhart. You are pressed for time and can't afford a mistake. Go for the label or turn it into a framed piece.
Great Job! I love the saying you picked out, but I would put it on a label for the back of the quilt with all the baby infor (wt, date etc.). That way if anything messes up you only have to redo the label.
wonderful quilt and I love your wording, go for it

That sounds really nice, it's a very cute blankey and would be a very cute saying too. I don't know if I would embroider all that on the border, I would take the lazy way out and maybe do his name on the bottom area somewhere, just to keep it away from baby's face. Or on a patch? It is truly cute the way it is without any addition. I would be afraid I would wreck my project, lol! A little plane embroidery done on the red corner or cloud or little tree with similar shapes? Or on a separate cloth to be able for them to frame it do the saying and a simple plane design would be nice I think, and match blankey with no embroidery on the blankey?
