My first try with PUL fabric, thanks to Jerri for telling me what PUL is & where to find it. I could not find any solids but am told they are getting some in @ JoAnn's but did get this cute monkey fabric. I wasn't quite sure if it should be lined or not? Thinking it might be to hot, but I went ahead & did it anyway & as always this makes it reversible. The design is from Digistitches & a freebie from awhile back. I thought since the fabric was so busy something simple would be best. I should have used a brighter yellow to make it show up more but it is ok anyway. The first picture is fabric & the second is the pul side

Good job! First time I heard of it was from here with one of Michelle's bapron"s. I got a couple of the prints on 50% off and a couple months later they had all of it on sale - both the prints and solids - for the 50% off, so I stocked up with a few. Loralye, you probably have a fabricland around and that's where I got mine - although if you don't have fabricland you should have a fabricville, which is the same.

PUL Fabric

PUL is a polyester/polyurethane laminate. Polyurethane is laminated to a 70 denier interlock fabric. The characteristic of PUL are as follows
It is washable and autoclavable
It is waterproof
The film is breathable (no diaper rash
It stretches with complete recovery
It is hypoallergenic
It is lint free
It is abrasion resistant
It is made in the USA
It is solvent laminated
This specialty fabric can be used in making diapers, changing mattress covers, bibs, smocks and applications that require waterproof fabric.
Hope this helps

Sounds like an interesting fabric...and of course, I like that it is made in the USA! If I can find some, I'll see about making a couple baby bibs for the new grand-niece for Christmas!

Very cute print for a little one. That waterproof fabric is hard to find and when there is more demand for it will start showing up in more fabric stores.

Thanks to Michelle & her lovely bibs & Jerri for giving me the info on this neat waterproofing fabric! Otherwise I didn't know of it either. It just washes off with a quick wipe.
