You are gonna love it. i wonder how diferent is is from my 4200D. If you find something wonderful as you are creating, let me know. My biggest hoop is 180 x 300. I would start with a list of sizes. A lot of designs come in a 610 (160 x 260), however you can go a little further, but not quite to an 8 x 8 (200 x 200). It took too long to figure that out.
My biggest hoop is also the 180 x 300. My machine gets one free professional cleaning. When I get a night off work I will attend the free classes. I will post pictures of the embroidery my son, elderly mom and myself have done so far on the machine. I really like the machine.
You will love your new Brother machine! I have one I began the venture of machine embroidery on many years ago, and it has never been to a shop; only gentle maintenance done by me. Once you get past the intimidation of the "new", and follow your manual's basic steps, you will be in embroidery heaven!! Congratulations!
Hugs, Angel
Congratulations! You will love it and I am sure you will catch on quickly!
I know you will love once you get used to it. Congrats and enjoy this wonderful gift.
What a guy...not to worry about the learning curve...it will go fast and easy....and what a big step up!
What a wonderful thing to do! I am sure you will love it!
I do love it. Now I want to try bobbin work because it looks interesting.
Do not look a gift horse in the mouth! LOL Hie thee to the manual and learn that new machine. We're all getting green about your early xmas gift. AH...but early enough that he might forget and give you another present also!
He said I should embroider him a sweat shirt and t-shirt. The Brother stitches much faster than the Singer. Lots of different parts for doing different stitching.
Congratulations!!! I am green with envy!!! I think they will be easy to learn, is there a video to go with it? Or does the website have some viewable videos? I had gotten an older brother machine years ago and from the booklet that came with it, was able to use it without many problems. You already know the hooping processes and stabilzers, I think most folks think Brothers are easy to use. Keep us posted!!!
My Singer had lock up again never had an issue with the machine until the warranty expired. I was expecting to get it fixed again. Hubby had different ideas. I was a little shocked..
