Check you're Private messages. Thanks!
Sorry but I don't find anything in my e-mail-Maybe re-send it as I would like to correspond with you!
Yes, Gloria, I just got your email and will be emailing you in the next day or two! Thank you so vey much for offering to advise me on this project!
I have done this design as well only in a pale tan linen and it turned out beautifully. Would be interested in the colors you chose with the blue background, Also I saw it in a much smaller size but don't know if they re-sized it or if it cam in another size? Any ideas!
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT, I personally like it better on the Blue. Well done, it's a piece of art. Love Chris
You gals are so nice! Thank you for all the wonderful comments. For those of you who can't find the design, just Google Dashing Through the Snow by OESD. And please know that this wall hanging is not hard at all. Only 4 of the blocks are stitch intensive. The rest sew out quickly. I did all of them in 3 days. The last stitch that sews on each block is the cutting line. Make sure you make it a little darker than you fabric so you can see it. I hooped Cut Away. Then I laid down my 6x8 piece of fabric and did that last cutting stitch first so it would tack down my fabric. You waste less material that way, and it sewed out really nice. I also did the cutting stitch at the end again. If you are using blue fabric, do the face flesh color twice or they will look like they are dying! I changed the colors to my own liking. I found the black sashing material at JoAnn's and did that instead of the separate sashings with the embroidered snowflakes. Saved me a ton of time and I thought it suited the color. Added hot fix crystals here and there on the sashing, and tiny ones in the tree branches.
Good luck to those who are going to try it. I'll be glad to answer any questions for you.
This is a winter wonderland and really like it with the blue background.
I love work or photos done as though you are looking through a window Welldone from S
Just beautiful...again! Is the black window pane sashing done with fusible bias tape...or ???
Love the fabric you used. Just perfect for this picture. Great job.
This is stunning!!!! I love it! I have this design and am just getting things ready to start it. I am sending you a PM and wonder if you could answer some questions I have on making it please?
Thank you so much!
I just purshased this design after I saw what you did with the other one. It is coming in the mail next week, can't wait to do it! You inspired me!. I was going to do it on pale blue fabric, so it is funny you did this on blue too!! Thanks for the advise on the doulbling up on the face stitches. I love your border and crystals ideas too! Lovely work you do, hope mine is as nice when it is done. :0)
I bought mine on E Bay at Radiant Threads. They had 3 and I bought the last one. BUT that doesn't mean that they don't have some more for sale right now. Check it out. Also just type in "Dashing through the snow" embroidery design and see what comes up. I was looking for the cheapest price and I got it that way. OESD sells it, but it was a lot more money. Good Luck! :0)
I can understand why you want to keep it, it is very beautiful !
I would like to know also where the design came from. It's really lovely
Very pretty, with all that work you certainly should keep it for yourself.
I love this design. Have it in my files for some time but have not done it yet. Yours looks great.
Not just beautiful, but amazingly beautiful!!! What is the actual finished size?
This is so amazing and so pretty. Thank you for sharing your photos. Maybe next year I can get up the courage to try something like this.
This is beautiful. May I ask where the design came from?
Where did you get the design

It's very pretty!!!! The one I have calls for some kind of silk, I can't think of the name of it right now. So it works alright on cotton then????? I know it would be cheaper, one reason I haven't tried mine yet. Do you know how long it took to do this? It looks really nice!!!!!
Duponi & it is very pricey! I think that this looks very much the same as the first one so I can't see why you can't use cotton? I have this set too but was waiting to sew it out. maybe Gloria can tell us if there is a noticeable difference between the two?
I did it in 3 days. Used Cut Away light and had no problem. There are only four blocks that are stitch intensive so the other blocks sew very quickly. I changed the colors to suit myself. One hint for you....if you are doing it on blue, do the face color twice. Without 2 layers of the flesh color, they looked like they were sick! I also left out the borders with the snowflake designs as I found this black with swirls and starbursts at JoAnn's. Saved soooo much time. Then added hot fix crystals scattered on the border and the tree branches. Wasn't hard to do at all.
I didn't use Duponi at all. The first one was done on a satin polyester from JoAnns. They both sewed out well. I used Perfect Stick on the satin, though my friend used cutaway and it was fine.
Excellent these take along time and a lot of work.It looks very very very lovely hugs
