Mug Rugs in Different Shapes.

The square one is from Oma's Place, I added the beer design from agelessembroidery and font made with Embird Font Engine.
The flower one was a doily design and I widened the Satin Stitch and Underlay and changed the stitch order to make it a mug rug. Added the monogram with Embird alphabet.
The stabilizer tore while stitching and you can see the satin stitch doesn' look so perfect. Well, good enough for free work.
The football was a applique design from a disk I got when I bought Incredible Threadable Thread Box. I resized it and widened the satin stitch and added tackdown stitches and now it's a mug rug.

I forgot where the flower dolly is from. It's a freebie I downloaded somewhere.

Yes, it's good to see some different shapes after making 2 dozens of oval mug rugs!

Very pretty.
I found that tear away usually tears when doing in the hoop designs, so I use wss. A bit more expensive but it stays put till the end.

yes i found the same and even two layers sometimes rips

The tearaway I normally use is mostly fine but I was using my new metal frame for my Viking Diamond so I used the sticky type, which is much thinner than the one I usually use. The football one didn't have any problem, luckily.

Sometimes I am too lazy to use WSS or I forgot, the result is usually not as nice as you can always see some white from the stabilizer.

These are darling. I'm very new at machine embroidery could someone tell me what WSS is. I'd love to try something like this.
