Michelle,
I, too, have a Happy machine, that I purchased from a man who had closed down his embroidery business. Although used, it is in good condition and stitches beautifully. I have not had as much time to play with it, and get truly comfortable with it, but I love the quality of the stitches and the large hoops! I kept my old faithful Brother, as I knew I would not get much for it. Now, I can stitch a design on it, while the Happy is working on a larger design a few feet away. Happy is one of the BEST commercial machines, IMHO! Congratulations!
Hugs, Angel
thanks Angel
From all the info I was able to gather, this is really a good (Japenese manufactured) machine and a real work horse. One of my friends has 3 of them and they swear by them. I tried to find a used one but everyone tells me this machine are so good that no one resells them so I bought new,
Have you had yours for a long time?
hugs back
Michelle, I did quite extensive research, and settled on the results that the Happy was one of the best. Luckily, I found one for sale online by a man who lived in Atlanta, GA., which was convenient, as I lived about 90 miles away. I was able to go check it out and bring it home without me without the shipping costs. I have had it about three years, I think, and have completed several projects. It stitches beautifully, and much faster. But, as it is so heavy, one has to learn to maintain and fix issues on the Happy. TexMac in Charlotte, N.C. sells the Happy, and has a website with indepth info for maintaining and troubleshooting of the machine. Their staff is very helpful, and sell supplies/parts.
I have learned quite a bit through trial and error, using the manual, as I did not go through training. Other demands of my time have kept me from being as proficient in the use of the Happy by now, but, it is a workhorse and strong machine. I am glad I got it, and hope to find more time soon to play with it!
Angel
Yea, you w and Happy will have many many hours of fun.
Sounds like you're gonna have lots of f-u-n!!! Enjou!!! Dolly
I am glad you are over your anxiety! Now just enjoy every inch of your huge hoop!
Hugs and congratulations!
Your new baby is a real beauty! I know you will be "Happy" together for a long, long time! ;)
Good luck with this new machine Michelle, it looks a monster! 15 needles, my goodness, I hope it has automatic threading! Can't wait to see your first project on this baby! Love Chris
Thanks Chris,
threading is fairly easy, once it has been threaded just cut and tie together new colors. It is a monster, I was in awe watching this baby go.
Haven't decided what the first project will be
hugs
Michelle

They say it is very user friendly and I have already tried it out at my friends place (she has 3 of them) and found it easy to understand. Next week will be the training week, wish me luck
