Hi,
I just got an activated version of PE DESIGN NEXT 9 software. The issue it still would not save any projects that I was try out. It would also not see my machine. I do have a Viking machine h-class 600e, I don't know if that makes a difference. By the way I heard the software won't would unless I have the box that goes with it. And I asked why and she told me that because I have a Viking machine. Still the software works on other machines properly. Any suggestions what to do please?

2350PE Design Next 9 is made by Brother...however it will save most of the popular formats but you need to select your format as part of the saving process..and you need th box in order to operate it...it is the same thing as the security dongle on other softwares....you don't need the card inside the box, but you do need to have the box plugged into your usb port for the program to function...I have Palette 9 which is the same program and PE Design Next..except it is made by Baby Lock...but the same program...Carol Price mades a good tutorial and there is also a Yahoo group just for educational purposes run by Carol. I used to work with the software without the box ( card reader ) and it did transfer correctly to my brother machine unlike this one. That is why i cant understand why it cant work on Viking machine.

Viking needs VIP, vp3 or hus, Brother pes or pec. So you should save the right format and then transfer to the machine on a USB-stick.
318443PE Design Next is software for Brother machines. It saves in .PES format. I do not think it will save in Viking formats. If your version has already been activated by another user, you may have to contact them or Brother to get your used software to work. It sounds like it is operating in Trial version mode. Is it missing the USB writer box? Where did you get this software?

I found a copy on the net for free which works without card reader. tested on brother machine and it worked but on viking no. i wonder why.

PE Design Next does save in Viking formats. You just need to use the export function in the drop down menu.
