I want to thank everyone for such kind comments on my jacket, I had fun doing this one. I only had a limited amount of fabric and wanted long sleeves in my jacket, I'm small so that helped. thank again.
You have done a super job even matchin g the pattern beautifully and to have used an old skirt. Waaaauw. This is super recycling.
Expect you will feel a million dollars when wearing it. All will think you spend a fortune buying it lol. Fabulous!!!
Really beautiful work. I am sure it looks stunning when you wear it. Lynx
Perfect amazing job!!!
I love that you repurpose things, since our walmart quit selling fabric I watch for things to sew from thrift stores or garage sales. You never know what you will find. I still buy new too though, online or when I go to the Amish community or a distant walmart who sells fabric.
Wow, what a fantastic jacket you have made, congratulations, Jenne.
Hugs, Lidia
This is very nice, from the fabic placement/cut out to match each front, sleeves, to the finish,VERY NICELY MADE-Toogie
love it! did you embroider the colored flowers?
I also really like the horizontal button holes, they are not trying to be discreet, they are making a statement, and work with the cut of jacket and pockets
Very pretty! Great job matching the designs in the fabric too
I did the button holes horizontal., because there was a small place worn place I neded to cover with one of the buttons holes .
Absolutely stunning "Jenne" - I love the fabric, the style of the jacket and the little faux pockets. Ingenious idea about transforming a skirt into a jacket. The only thing I would have done differently is have the buttonholes vertical instead of horizontal. Love Chris
