Very Beautiful! These must have taken a very long time to do all the hand embroidery. So worth it, so pretty. Thanks for showing them off!
I remember getting a set like that for a wedding gift 43 years ago. I still have one left. If those towels could talk! Very nice indeed.
You do beautiful work. I did some of these birds a zillion years ago. I did love to hand embroider and do counted cross stitch when my fingers still worked like they should.
I used to cross stitch too, can't see well enough to do any more. Know what you mean about the fingers.
Your towels are so pretty! I love them! The proof is in the pudding, your work is excellent!!!!
I love hand embroidery and I love the blue birds. You did a great job!
I love these beautifully done. Hand work can't be beat. I love the machine but hand work wins.
I purchased this set some years ago and made a set of flour sack towel for my MOM and they really do have the look and feel of hand stitched embroidery. She won't use them because she says they are part of her finery's,Just for looks:) .
Thanks for sharing.

My mom was the same way. She had old Silver Dust Detergent towels still new when she passed. Miss her everyday. The memories are wonderful. I thank her for teaching me embroidery and the art of sewing.
I love them all, the vintage look shows the work involved so well. Hugs **Loralye
You are so right, machine embroidery is so much faster, with it most of the time eaiser. hand embroidery is soooo much nicer. beautiful love your work.
Very pretty, isn't it nice to go back and do by hand. As you said not as fast as machine, But its done by hand. That is very special.
