Aww, he's so cute, too, what a shame your friend lost hers and then you lost the replacement. That face is unforgettable, and I've been known to wander a few thrift shops from time to time, so I'll be sure to watch for him. Sure do hope somebody can find him for you! Hugs, Marji
Thanks for everyone trying to help me locate this. It will mean a lot to a friend. He has a beautiful face. It was originally sold @ Hallmark Stores nation-wide. This lady bought one and had it over 10 years. Her home burned down last summer and while she can replace some items this was a favorite and very hard to find.. I was so happy when I saw it on Ebay but unfortunately some sellers just don't care. Ebay will help refund but I needed the cookie jar. I just hope someone can let him go. Thanks for all your help. Stella
Have you tried to make a "wanted ad" in your local newpaper or in some shops? Or on a online-plattform (we have here one that is called "bulky waste" and you can make an add for free incl. photo). Wish you luck to give this lady a little joy :o)
Or if you have Craigs List in your area you could post it in wanted there. It is free and an easy way to get lots of local people to look - maybe one will have it.
Oh Stella what a pity thath the seller packed it so lousy. I always prefer to overdue when I send my glas lamps to customers. Hope a cutie find one for you :o)
Greetings, Bettina
If you paid by pay pal. Maybe they can help you get your money back.
Bummer it broke. I know how sentimental you are and if I see I will buy it!
Sorry you had such bad luck - it's a shame to have lost him. :(
It looks like a Fitz and Floyd piece. They are marked "F F" and usually a date Look at the bottom and tell us about the mark or name. I might also be a Enesco piece. Good luck!!!
Can you tell us more about the cookie jar -- like who made it? Maybe the year it was made or perhaps the store name that sold it originally might help.
