Oh dear, I just realized that I misspelled Awareness. I should check my posts more carefully. I would like to find a design that I could make as an applique or fsl to put on my gym bag to raise awareness.
There are 20.8 million children and adults in the United States, or 7% of the population, who have diabetes.
I have not seen this -- but I will let you know if I find one.
Updated I found a couple and one is on sale right now.
Many thanks. Somewhere in the dim past I had been told purple was the diabetes awareness color but the t-shirts were always red so this is a revelation for me.
I saw grey Parkinson's disease ribbons too. I didn't know diabetes was this color or that they even had a ribbon for it.
I believe purple is for Migraines. I have two daughters who suffer from migraines.
Thank you so much for the links Rescuer.Any time I have a question there is always a Cutie that has an answer. What a great bunch of people..
I'm a diabetic, and I didn't know there was a Diabetes Awareness month. Let alone a ribbon to go with it, I'm sorry but I don't digitize, But I do want to thank you for the information.
I was just recently diagnosed and I did not know about this either but a friend posted it on Facebook so I did some research on it and found the information about the ribbon.
I haven't seen this ribbon and I don't digitize. I do think this is a worthy cause so back to the top.
