WOW!!! This is amazing and an heirloom. I love it and your digitizing extras really make it special. Lucky parents!
I hope you put a label on the back with your full name, made for names and location with year. That way when they do a quilt hunt in that state in 50 or 100 years they will have that info. And it should be appraised if you can find someone to do it. You would be amazed at the value!! I had a bunch of mine appraised several years ago thru the guild and I was astounded..
Yes, the quilt label is the last thing to add...still deciding on the design...never thought of getting my quilts appraised...that is food for thought...I have made a number of them...some of them are hand painted and quilted combinations...
Toogie and sebsew said it best. Beautiful, love it
This is something to be proud of, something for them to cherish.Did you pin it all together after you sandwiched, and free motion, stipple it, starting in the middle? I would love to be able to do something like this.
Yes...sandwiched the blank blocks, pinned, stitched in the ditch on the block and border joinings, then embroidered/quilted the rest all in the hoop...really enjoyed the process! Thanks for your kind words!
This quilt is nothing short of BEAUTIFUL! I admire your work!
Your quilt is absolutely beautiful and I am sure your parents will treasure it!
It is a Winter Wonderland. Excellently made for your parents.
Wow! It is most impressive. I still don't quite get how you did it. I want to cause I have some 9 patches that need to be quilted.
Thanks, Christine...the block are constructed and put together in total and then the batting and backing are sandwiched...and then the embroidery and quilting are done in the hoop...
Great Job I am sure they will be thrilled with their gift - love the snowman couples very nice job...hugs Glenda
