Pattern for contoured burp cloth
Here are some I've done. I use white flannel, make any length you want, the last ones I did were about 21 inches wide, and folded in half. I try to center my design on the half fold for the front, after my design is sewn then I sew a pretty or coordinating border fabric across the bottom only. With right sides together I serge the bottom and the side. Turn right side out and then serge the top together. I always press it through the process. You don't need cutsie baby fabric or designs either, I've seen fleur di lis designs that make the burps really cute for the girls, someone has freebie fleur di lis with a football on the web now perfect for the boys. http://www.cuteembroidery.com/944...
This is a peanut shape That Loralye made.
Hugs Pam.
The ones I made were similar to this one. I guess I could just blow it up and make mine bigger...Thank you
The links below are all from here Deanna. It looks like there are several styles you can make. It's relatively simple. Just use a nappy (diaper), or some soft terry towelling, flannel or some soft jersey knits. Have a look at what the ladies on these posts recommend. Love Chris
