To bad,it is such a lot of work just getting there and setting up that you at least want it to be worth it. Maybe just a bit closer to
Christmas you will have better luck. What are you making? Most Srs. have grandchildren that they buy anthing for!
If it is allowed, hire a kid to take flyers around to the office complexes. They need the service and can pay for it. Kind of like a laundry service. A gift basket service. At the same time look for the corporate account.
There is a girl here that is the embroiderer for a small jacket making company. She does all the little crests on the fronts, on the side she designing and embroidery orders.
The rain always has an affect on craft shows...don't give up and don't be too discouraged...your items are beautifully done...I like some of the other Cuties suggestions...hospital gift shop, small baby boutique shop, or perhaps try being a vendor at a local quilt guild show...lots of ladies always looking for nice hand made items...
Is there another fair in the near future? The closer it gets to Christmas the more you will sell. People will be happy to buy at the last minute when they realize they need a gift and need it now. I think some people go to these craft fairs just to see whats out there and think if they keep looking they will get it cheaper from another vendor. You have a wonderful product and do quality work .We can't control the weather and it will get better.

Michelle don't let one bad fair discourage you. My first time there was such a wind storm we could barely keep our tent upright. Pick your fairs to suit your wares by that I mean do a Mommy & Me Fair or Tops for Tots things of that nature & be sure that they (the convenors) advertise well in advance Try to take pictures of your display set-ups & then look @ them after the fair is over so you can "see" what worked & what didn't. Every show is a terrific learning experience take advantage of this & you will learn more with each fair. You have great skill you just need the right market for it. Don't despair my friend. The rain must have thrown things off. Do you have any kind of baby boutique where you live? I could see your things doing well in a place like that where you could show your work and people could ask for certain pieces to be personalized. How about an online business? You have a huge talent, Michelle. You just need to find the right avenue to sell your items! Good luck!! Denise
P.S. How about at the gift shop of a local hospital where someone may want to pick up a gift for someone who just had a baby?
Michelle, as I read your post, what came to mind was the saying, "When at first, you don't succeed, try, and try, again!" Keep passing out business cards to those, who show sincere interest in certain items. After a few orders, perhaps referrals will start from that, and your business may grow! It does take time, so hang on to the positive thoughts, too!
Hugs, Angel
Sorry it didn't go well. It is always a huge let down when that happens.
Hugs!!
So sorry to here that your craft show didn't go well. I always love the items that you post.
