Nice job Loralye, I find the Softouch scissors by Fiskars a great help for the fringe .... still a long process but easier on the hands ... Hugs Glenda x0x0x
Thanks Glenda I used the mini soft-touch Fiskars but it still a job to do so many, hugs ***
I think I've found the secret to you Canadian girls and how you get so much done, It's how you stay warm. Another great project ,keep them coming and I better get busy so I can catch up (like that's going to happen) lol
Bev
beautiful. The baby will love it. Nice and warm and cuddly
beautiful. And yes the worst part is the snipping. Very hard on the fingers. I believe there is a special tool to do it now. Perhaps someone will know.
Yep that is what I used but there are a lot of blocks & it is easier because you don't put your fingers into any holes but it is all that exact on the line cutting to make all the fringes even. I think the cutting takes longer then any thing else. I always leave the cutting till the end but next time (UGH) I should cut each block as I go along then it might not be so bad?
Nice job...I bet your hands sore from cutting the fringe slits!
I hate making these for that very reason plus I think it would be linty? It isn't though? The new mom really wanted one so.........
Great job. The baby will spend many happy hours with this treasure
In our area we call these rag quilts. You have done nice work. The embroidery adds a lot of interest.
wohhhh.....looks soooo great
very good job loralye
hugs micheline
This is really cute Loralye. I need to make a couple for our new additions and was only talking about it with Trevor on our early morning walk. I will make them in the new year though. Love Chris
Make sure you get a brand new pair of scissors to cut the edges with, it will make life easier for your fingers. Thanks so much, Hugs
