After seeing this FSL Pickle at Embroidery Library on sale I remembered that a co-worker at my daughters office loves pickles. Today was a rather stressful day at the office as another co-worker gave a two week notice that works along side the pickle person and things were more than tense between them. Hope this puts a smile on her face tomorrow.

Update in the work office from a text: She loved the pickle and anything pickle related. She was showing off your pickle to everyone up front.

At least I gave them something to talk about and hope their day is going better. lol

Sounds like a perfect gift for the situation. I'm glad you gave the information for the Christmas Pickle. I was sitting here trying to remember it ~ it's a very puzzling tradition for me. ;)

Anything to cut the tension. Our daughter came home two nights in a row talking about this situation.

Very neat looks like a pickle. So when they say "if life gives you lemons make lemonaide........ does this mean when we have a pickle moment we can make moment into good relish, he,he. I am sure she will love this and there will be a smile.

lol Not sure but did find this little bit of information on Wikipedia: The Christmas pickle is a Christmas tradition in the United States. A decoration in the shape of a pickle is hidden on a Christmas tree, with the finder receiving either a reward or good fortune for the following year. There are a number of different origin stories attributed to the tradition, but it was primarily thought to have originated in Germany. This has since been disproved and is now thought to be an American tradition from the late 19th century.

That is neat. I like hearing different origins. Thanks for sharing.
