Great work! I love your fabric choices. I have a quilting book that just has "sofa backs" so you can decorate the sofa for the entire year! Or, just put on the bed to dress things up a little.
Bright and colorful for the holidays. My mom and both of my grandparents always had their furniture covered with clothes. Went and looked up the word for this type of cover: "Antimacassar" The link didn't work so I will copy and paste the first few lines. An antimacassar /ˌæntɪməˈkæsər/ is a small cloth placed over the backs or arms of chairs, or the head or cushions of a sofa, to prevent soiling of the permanent fabric.[1] The name also refers to the cloth flap on a sailor's blouse, used to keep macassar oil off the uniform.
Beautiful. We'd call it a "throw" in the South U.S., as if we'd just casually thrown it there instead of working on it for hours first!
thank you for the compliment as well as the information you gave me. It's nice to learn something everyday.
Not sure what to call it either. It certainly puts the room in the "Holiday" mode though. Really nice job.
You are amazing! Looks great, so glad you are having fun! Merry Christmas!
