Love it WHERE DID YOU GET THE PATTERN?
I bought the cobbler aprons from a catalog company. They were very inexpensive. The Anthony Richards catalog has them but they all have a print design on them. You could buy one and use it for a pattern. Hope this helps. Helene
What a terrific idea - and an apron doesn't cover as much - I always dirty my shirt with splashes. My solution is not to cook if I can help it, but unfortunately, my hubby likes to eat at least one good meal a day - so it is off to the stove and cooking dinner for the night.
Thanks. Maybe you could teach your husband how to cook. But if he is like mine, he will pretend he has a mental block when it comes to cooking. Helene
This is exactly what my mom has been looking for. She likes to wear them when she cooks, but hasn't been able to find any recently. Can you tell me what the pattern is. . .or where to get it? Great job decorating it!
I was looking for a pattern also, I went to Wal Mart and found one too small, so I bought it and am planing to make my own pattern. If you do find a pattern I would like to know.
What a nice present, no wonder your daughter was pleased. Flower for you.
Helene, what a love work of art - I am so happy to hear that Debby like it and also that you are doing more of them for family - isn't that the best thing - when other's appreciate you work? *4U Shirlene
Thank you shirlener88. I have a business license to make things and sell them from my home but find that 98% of my projects go to family and friends as gifts. You are right. It makes me feel good to know they appreciate it. Helene
What a great idea - I think it is wonderful. Great job. Sue
Lovely idea and it covers more than just an apron so it is extrememly useful!
I found that when I wore an apron I still managed to splash things on my shirts so the Cobbler Apron took care of that. I also wear it when I am dressed to go somewhere and have to eat breakfast or lunch before I go. If I forget you can be sure I will drip something on my clothes. Helene
Oh, wow! Their daughter is quite happy certainly with it! Flowers for you.
I have been looking for one of these, could you give the pattern name and #.
I bought the Cobbler Aprons from a catalog. The were very reasonably priced so it would have probably cost as much for the material, etc.. I have very little time to spend in my sew room so I try to save as much time as possible. Anthony Richard catalog has them but they all have a design on them. You could buy one and use it as a pattern. Helene
I am sew glad to see your beautiful cover up! Years ago I use to make these, but since have forgoten about them. After seeing yours (as a reminder) I'm going to make one like yours. Thanks for the in put. elmsc@comcast.net
If you have a pattern or know where to get one you may want to let the other people who commented on this project where they could get the pattern. I bought the Cobbler aprons from a catalog a while back. Helene
