This is the Jenny Haskins Quilt-Cream on Cream It was done as a block of the month in 1998-1999.We used the printer paper on this as stabilizer. It was done on the normal sewing machine using the decorative stitches and some free hand embroidery and applique. Some of us ladies did not have embroidery machines so we used lace to embellish it and I added some beads.

This is so beautiful. I used to decorate all sort of things with the decorative stitches, but now I have an embroidery machine I hardly touch them, which is a shame. Flower for you.

That's what I like about Jenny she knows how to decorate a quilt even if you don't have the embroidery machine.. You have done an absolutely wonderful job, the colours look lovely and soft. You must be very proud of your work.

Yes she certainly does. And it gives you scope for your own variation. Some of the things on the quilt were not part of the original design. We kind of added our own things.

Beautiful. Have you used computer paper in the hoop though and how did the needles stand up. did they blunt quicker than normal?

I haven't used it in the hoop.I thought the needles would blunt a lot quicker, but we did not change needles that often.Might give it a try.We can buy reams of paper very cheap. The paper might not be soft enough to fit in the hoop properly, though.
