Yesterday it was pushing $1.49 Canadian/Litre here in Montreal, QC...that is regular unleaded...
$4.10 a gallon here in the US Midwest, that's about 1.03 per litre. That's about $1.08 AUS or 1.65 EURO and 2 pounds British per litre... Diesel fuel here is almost at $5 a gallon so it's about 25% higher than unleaded gasoline.
in the netherlands petrol was last week 158 Euro a litre, and the price of diesel a little bit less
The price is $1.52 litre in Adelaide today. After rushing out to get it at $1.54 yesterday. Tuesday is renowned to be the cheap day, I guess it could still have been $1.59 as it was for the past week.
Lyn what part of Adelaide you from I was born Woomera but lived in Adelaide as a child
The price of petrol seems to change all the time.Heard on the news tonight,Adelaide time, it was $1.65.9 a ltr.

In truth, I have no idea what the price is here now-a-days. I just stay at home with my babes most of the time and my husband fills the tank when it needs to be filled. I drive to church or to my mother's house, and the grocery store. We just can't afford to drive anymore, and I can't go anywhere with all three kids without the car.
yes that is about why we are forced to do as well these days, we live in rual area so when we do go to town/ciy we make the most of it and do lots in that day to get the most out of the petrol.
Cutiepie, hope you don't mind me asking you a personal question. Why can't you go anywhere with three kids?I know you have just had twins, but there are prams for twins.I can't drive and I had 3 kids. There was 18 months between the 1st and 2nd and 2 years between the second and 3rd.I was also a care giver, looking after other peoples kids.I would very often have up to 6 of them.I used to put the youngest 2 of the kids in a double pusher and the rest would walk.Even the little 3 year old.Depending where we were living at the time it would sometimes take up to 45 to walk to the shops. We are very lucky, here ,we have a very good home delivery system in our supermarkets. The kids thought it was fun to walk.we would walk everywhere. To them it was a game.I still walk to the supermarket. Now we are only a 20 minute walk from there. Now I take my Grandkids for walks when I go shopping.
we take the 3 kids across the road for walks all the time they love to come and walk my dog ,its great on pathways but a nightmare crossing some roads sometimes its pure stress othertimes its great
Just got back home from North carolina paid $3.89 a gal. there, here in Ala. it
s anywhere from $3.69 to $3.89 depends on what brand U r buying. *4U
just letting you know there are 4 1/2 litres to the gallon
Sorry Raels, according to conversion charts, US gallon is only 3.785 lts, whereas UK gallon is 4.546 lts. makes a huge difference when calculating cost comparisons. -http://www.onlineconversion.com/v... - hugs M
Almost $5.00/gallon in sunny San Diego, CA... USA. That's why I'm carpooling now... You don't want to know what our property tax is either.
I am in Central Florida, and while I fuel up it was $3.81 gal this evening. I should have filled up, but like to do it in the mornings. It will most likely jump up again before I get back there. Most places here are $3.92/gal, or better. Let's see, what do we do without to put as in the auto? I think I am going to ask to start working from home. What do you think?
Petrol was $1.68 at Penrith on the weekend, which using exchange rate of 90cAUD/$1US and 3.79lt/US gal works out at Approx. $7.07 US gallon. i haven't driven my car in 6 weeks, probably have a dead battery when I have to use it today. hugs, M
What a great question, it is interesting to read all the different prices around the world, and it seems that within a country, the prices vary.
The last time I looked the prices in Melbourne where Standard $1.57 I used the high Octane which is generally another 10 to 15 cents dearer. Blessed, dont drive much at the moment.
the boys were talking and wanted to know how much it was around the world so I told them I would ask , What a responce
In South Australia it is $1.59 litre which is the equivilent of $7.20 per gallon
$2.07 per litre for 91 octane and $2.12 for 95 octane in Auckland, New Zealand
Our petrol is $1.62 in Merimbula NSW, & thats wiht Woolies 4c discount.
Hello there, where i live in Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada the gaz is $1.29 a liter and diesel is $1.56 a liter. It is very expensive to go to work as i drive 200 km a day to get there. Thanksfully i taking my pension in september.
In France, we pay about 1,45 euros for one litre (that is about 2,20 usd for one litre). It's now really very expensive.
In South Africa - R9.25 (ZAR) per litre. Our petrol price is regulated, but the diesel price, which is higher than petrol, is not. As Dianne from the UK says, our price is also made up of a high percentage of government tax.
Here in Winter Haven, the regular gas is $3.99/gallon. It is forcast to hit $4.50/gal. by this week-end. Ugh!!!
Here in Oregon we are getting very close to the $5.00 a gallon. It is hard to give you the true amount, because as I type it has probably gone up another 3 to 5 cents a gallon. In USA it is our own fault,as each state has to have their gas refined a different way,and we do not have enough refineries, and can't build anymore. H & *'s
Here in Alaska it is 4.50 regular and 4.99 for diesel more in some places here. This is our cheapest.
In Italy €1.50 ($2.33) a liter
in Switzerland CHF 1.90 €1.18 ($1.83) a liter
I live next to the Switzerland, I often go to buy the gasoline in Switzerland is cheap!!
The cheapest I've found in Knoxville, TN is $3.88 a gal...but that was a few days ago! It's probably gone up...again. Yesterday a friend came up our drive way on his bicycle! We may all have to get a bike!
Here in the UK petrol and diesel prices are rocketing - petrol is around £1.20 a litre and diesel £1.30: that's $2.48/$2.68 AUD, $2.34 / $2.53 USD, 1.51 / 1.64 Euros. A litre is about a quarter of a US gallon so that's about £4.80 a gallon petrol .... nearly $10 USD!!!! and £5.20 a gallon diesel .... over $10!!! Sheesh!! I think we win, but I wish we didn't!! Of course, a lot of the cost of fuel here is tax put on by the government, but I won't bore you by going into that...
Love
Dianne x x x
Our price of regular gas here is anywhere between $4.05/gallon to $4.49/gallon. Diesel is between $4.85 - $4.99 per gallon! I filled up with $70.01 USD.
This is in Washington State. That is at the Northwestern corner of the United States of America. :)
We had snow here up in the mountains here yesterday. Kind of a strange year.
Yesterday I paid $3.89 a gallon here in Missuri, U.S.A. Deisel is much higher here also. I am missing my little 3 cylinder Geo Metro car it ran forever on one ten gallon tank, although it was built like a tiny shoe. Yesterday when I got gas the person before me on the pump I used paid a total of $89.00, that is crazy! That is not something I could afford. How many Litre to a gallon??
In ontario canada gas is 134 per litre sorry dont know how to convert to gallons.
In the Netherlands diesel € 1,48 a liter, petrol around 1,65. Multiply that by 1,5 to get US $. And the government wants to add more tax per July 1st.
Mostly over $4.00 a gallon here in New Hampshire.
Yipes! And we are suppose to take a driving trip at the end of next week.
Hi minnie,
I'm in Florida, and the cost here is anywhere from $4.00 to $4.25 for regular, and $4.75 for diesel. Same I heard in Arizona. My daughter was talking about the good old days when she was a new driver and paying $1.00/gallon for gas, and she's now 26. I didn't want to tell her that I remember as a child watching my father fill the car and it was five cents per gallon and he was not pleased. Years later, when I started to drive, we had gas lines where the last number on your license plate (odd or even) determined what day you could buy gas. Even then, I could fill the tank with ten dollars and get back change. This is life changing for all of us, no matter where we live.
When DH and I were first married his family had a service station. Gas was .24 cents a gallon.I was working there during the "even/odd" days and it jumped way up to .45cents. As Clawton says, it is right around $4.a gal. in southern Maryland where I am.
Welcome docsjoy! I'm glad that you have found out Cute family. Please visit us often.
I remember the "odd/even" lines! One day I had to wait and wait in a line all the way out onto the shoulder of the road. As I was WAY back in the line, I turned off the car & every time one car would move out & we'd move forward, I'd open the door; push with my foot (had the car in drive but not turned on) and I'd roll down the hill 1 car length! Of course the power brakes & steering weren't active as the car wasn't on! I'd stomp on that brake to stop the car...I was young & dumb as I had a car load of kids with me! The Lord watches over fools, I guess!
Here in the Chicago Land it is $4.50 a gal and deisel is $4.85
About the same in USA, Georgia 1.56 litre. We really need some relief some how. ;(
AUD1.30 per litre in South Africa
It's relative for us in South Africa though. We are paying close to R10.00 (10 South African Rand) per litre, which is expensive to us.
