When bunnyhop described how to melt images onto candles, I was hooked!! I took the Embroidery Library design of this bee (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE) and made a tablecloth, 12 napkins, and a couple of candles as a set for my newly married son and his lovely bride.

I agree with lilylady - you should send this to EmbLib as a project. They have a contest and you could win some great designs. The colors are so sophisticated and the matching candle - Superb!

These are wonderful! Did you attach a picture of the design or the design itself? I missed bunnyhop's original post, so any more info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! This project is just stunning!

I am pleased that you like them. I attached a picture of the design. I used Picasa ( free program) to print it out to the size I wanted for the candle. Here's bunnyhop's post http://www.cuteembroidery.com/942... I like to iron my tissue paper and use a very small amount of spray adhesive to attach to the copy paper for printing. That makes the design that much clearer. But if you like a more rustic look, leave the wrinkles in the tissue paper. Thank you for posting the bee design from Embroidery Library. That's such a help for others who like the design.

Thanks for all the information! You do such wonderful work! I hope I can close to doing as well!

Thank you, Pam. I can still remember your cute little vest that you made and you said you didn't even have a pattern for it but used a shirt. Now I think that is amazing...

I've embroidered a table cover before, haven't tried napkins, and would have never thought of doing candles. What a beautiful set as a gift! I'm sure they will treasure it!

Thank you. Napkins are pretty straight forward to do, especially if your design is as small as mine was. The candles are addictive, I'm afraid.

Beautiful...did you find the candles easy to do?

quail by quail 21 Dec 2013

I first bought some $1 candles to try. I botched a couple of them with too much heat. But then, I tweaked the process till I found what worked best for me. One thing was to very lightly spray with temporary adhesive and to iron the tissue paper. That give me the best design possible. Then to take your time and work as evenly as possible. I want to make many more. By the way, http://thegraphicsfairy.com/ is a wealth of free designs.
