CUTIES WE NEED YOUR HELP.

TTT - to steal someone else's digitizing is such a petty thing to do. You have to wonder about her life - apparently no remorse even when booted off. If she put that much energy into learning to do this herself she might be ok at it. When I sold sewing machines we would get TTY phone calls - for deaf people and the operator reads you what they have typed - trying to get us to send embroidery machines to Africa all the time. It got so that we only took TTY calls from out known deaf clients. It always amazed us at the amount of energy this all took. Thanks for the heads up. I'll leave a post it on the monitor with the two names i have learned so far for her.

I'm sorry to seem dumb but I'm not sure what web sites to avoid is it possible to make a list and make it easy to check and add sites to this list, I know it means a lot of extra work for who ever would do it but I'm sure there must be others like me that are a little confused.

This site is posted here because they repeatedly refuse to follow the Terms and Conditions of this site. It really is not feasible to make a list of sites that one should not visit as new sites are made frequently. Additionally, posts get buried here. I would worry that someone would believe a site is "OK" if it is not on the list. We all must be careful as we surf the internet.

No, turquoise210 is a French site (that also has illegal designs) but this one is different. This one keeps coming back under new names, always giving a link toe evafery.

She has been blocked using the IP address several times. However, she finds ways around it -- here and many other places. Thanks for offering to help.

I never noticed her here but I think she's posted on Sew Forum as the wording is very similar.I have not seen her on facebook. Maybe they took her page down, I don't know.

Thank you. I have seen the site posted before but never went there.

I completed a malware scan of my computer this afternoon. There was a program shown as malicious with this site prominent in file name. Yes you can get bad stuff. I had not been on that site for a long, long time. Be very careful.

Is there a way to keep a list of banned individuals or is that something that is difficult to maintain with all the other lists kept? Having a button on the side bar that only you or the moderators could update would mean you mean business and , also, create a place where everyone could remind themselves of who to stay away from. Would really be helpful to any Newbies.

No, not at this time. We are hoping that the PM's and messages like this one will help the community.
When in doubt -- please know that if anyone is ever giving away Disney or other notable characters -- it is not a good site.
This specific one is banned for many reasons and she is a frequent repeat offender.

I will definately stay away from her. Thanks for the warning.

Thanks for the info. These are the things we need to be aware of. Not sure I have been to her site but will to check. Question ??? Are you saying her designs are infected if we did download them? Or just that we could get viruses by going to her sites? Just want to be clear. Or is it just the fact that she is stealing others designs and being paid to do it? Excellent questions Susan.
Her designs MAY be infected as according to her own statements (that she made here in the open forum recently) they are not her designs. Her site will have low security and lots of tracking cookies. I have not been to her site in a very long time -- so I cannot say of her site is currently infected. It does have a huge chance of it though -- because of her business practices.
She is profiting from others work without their permission or compensating them in any way. However, the biggest thing is she is using THIS site for free advertising to her site that has numerous copyright violations. Even her Facebook account has (free) Disney designs posted with links to her site.
We are hoping if Cuties stop responding to her requests -- she will stop posting here.

And she is always offering Disney designs too. It is too bad that she continues. Perhaps one day she will quit if people stop giving her the encouragement she wants. She NEEDS the comments and attention. The more people visit her website and Facebook page or add comments here -- the more she will continue.

In the past Disney has always been very protective of their designs, etc. I know of a person who ignored their trademarks, copyrights and such. She was selling items at a craft fair when Disney people came in and confiscated everything she had including her van and then drove to her home and took all her machines and designs. Perhaps a word to them may help.

Turning her name in to Disney - perhaps this is the route to go! You're right - some companies are very protective of their property. A friend of ours was making and selling pins of car logos - the Roadrunner for example - with permission from Chrysler. Hanna Barbera (the owners of the cartoon image) came to the auto show, removed all of the stock that had their image, as was their right to do. Nothing the man could do as he would have needed HB permission as well.

I just had a look on F/B and it is the same person.
Maybe our digi girls should have a look to make sure their designs are not on there. If it is ok with the moderators I will put a link up..only when I know if it is ok.

Some how after doing this for a few yrs. you begin to get a feel for the good and bad, I personally have always felt Cute to be the best the Internet has to offer, Q.T.s as well as designs. I just try to delete them before anyone can click on them. Some days I will remove several posts from her. Often it is just one a day.

I have never visited her site--just felt something funny about it the first time I noticed...just didn't feel right but I cannot pinpoint what it was. Too bad she continues to get away with theft.

We have a different IP address every time we restart the computers or modem. She could also be going to different coffee shops or restaurants that have internet. I'm glad I don't have any of her designs.

I don't go there either. She's had Elsa's designs on her website and I know they're Elsa's because I've bought them. I downloaded one and put it over Elsa's floral and they are exactly the same - stitch for stitch. Hopefully, the Cuties will stay away from her.

Could I suggest that you contact Elsa with this information, and give her the details? Perhaps as the actual owner of the stolen design, she can bring charges against this thief. This has been going on for a long time. Many different names. Sometimes my daily Yahoo Group update consists mainly of her posts of links to the link sections of the groups. Been wondering when someone was going to figure out she was just getting free advertising. The couple of designs I downloaded many months ago were very, very bad digitizing. I haven't clicked on any of her postings in a long long time when I figured out what was going on.

You have my full support...hopefully Cuties are now alerted again to not encourage or reward this pesky party...Thank you, rescuer...for bringing this back to everyone's attention...AGAIN!!!

She posts also in some yahoo-groups with different names. Have downloaded some designs in the beginning and find they look bad in embird so never went there again.

I found her better designs belong to another website digitizer (used without permission) and her regular designs are very poor quality indeed. They look like the worst of the auto-digitizing.

I do agree, she is persistent.

I ignore her but she is persistant

This "person" has really caused a LOT of problems, too bad there is no way to "delete" her, PERMANENTLY. I have not visited her site, as I learned long ago, "Free" is not always what we think it is. Thank you for the update on this "person".
